Hi,
I’m Zoe and I’m a great believer in creating memories to last. It’s not the materialistic items that stand the test of time, it’s carrying memories with you through life!
It is MY absolute privilege to be allowed in to YOUR life at the most heightened of times, when you are making your best memories or even the most heartfelt sad ones. I can’t think of a better job than, guiding, supporting, laughing and crying with you, whilst writing and delivering a unique ceremony to complete an unforgettable day!
Deciding to change career in my forties, I turned to friends and family for inspiration and asked what words they would use to describe me: ’empathy, integrity, scarily organised, calm and professional’ were words I’m proud to say they chose with a heavy dose of fun!
Being sociable, I also love any excuse for a party and find myself planning and hosting for family and friends. I enjoy being involved in our local community, this combined with my love of drama, having performed locally in places such as Harlow Playhouse and further afield at the beautiful Minack Theatre, Cornwall (if you haven’t seen it, look it up its stunning!) all seemed to marry (excuse the pun!) with becoming a celebrant!
I decided to train with the ‘Independent College of Professional Celebrants’ in the beautiful North Yorkshire National Park (miles away from home!) and I am proud to say they laid great foundations for what has become the best job ever!
I have a group of lovely girlfriends, we help each other navigate through this one life by making sure we meet regularly for quality time together. I am a wife to my soul mate, mum to an independent teenager and get my 10,000 steps a day with our Labrador. I have a great relationship with my parents but especially my mum, even though I worked with her for over 15 years in the Property industry (it could have been messy but it wasn’t!), as someone who has seen me in action in every aspect of my life, I thought it prudent to get a reference from her……
“Zoe is a unique individual who has the ability to really listen to what you say you want and providing it, no matter what sort of ceremony you would like – solemn, fun, wacky to name a few! She understands that every family is different and that a ceremony should reflect that individuality. Zoe is super organised, driven, goes above and beyond and believes everyone should feel that they are in safe hands – in Zoe’s hands you will be I promise! x”
Really though, a celebrant should be chosen on their compatibility with YOU, YOUR family and the type of ceremony they are being engaged for.
I am light-hearted, considerate, thoughtful, and fun, and the only way you’ll know if we are right for each other is by giving me a call!
Warmest wishes
Zoe x
