They won’t be a stranger! We will get to know you and your loved ones, listen to your stories and hear what is important to you. We will build a relationship/friendship over months and by the time of your ceremony we will deliver a unique service.
Can everyone have a celebrant – YES!
Whilst celebrants are perfect for the alternative wedding, we are also exceptional at traditional ceremonies in magnificent surroundings, all adapted to suit you. Celebrants are the perfect option for those who are unsure how religious they may or may not want their ceremony to be. We can incorporate any level of faith for you, for example we can include a prayer or sing hymns (we might turn the mic off then!) unlike a Humanist.
Can we include special people on our Big Day or in any ceremony? YES!
While you and your partner or immediate family are the stars of the day, it is important sometimes to acknowledge and include special people in the ceremony, either in your family or in your circle of friends. Particularly important is the inclusion of children if you have them, we have very meaningful ways of doing this and don’t forget, your furry friends, as they are welcome too!
Where can I hold my ceremony? Anywhere!
Absolutely anywhere you can get permission, no two ceremonies have been the same and there’s no restriction on time, don’t fancy the afternoon? You could go for sunset, sunrise, literally a wedding breakfast or evening ceremony- timing is up to you!
Will my ceremony be unique? Definitely!
Absolutely, once we have your ‘Love Story’ its all about you!
Can a celebrant register a marriage, is it legally binding?
Celebrants are not permitted to perform a legal registration of marriage; we leave the paperwork to the council. With Diamond to Stone Ceremonies, your ceremony will be what you want it to be and is far more personal to you than a Registry Office provides, namely because we work together over a much longer period of time!
Along with the bespoke promises and vows that you make, you can include poems, readings, music, involve family and friends or it can be as intimate as you wish! As we are unable to conduct the legal ceremony; our recommendation is that you attend your local Registry Office as a couple with two witnesses and complete the statutory declaration privately.
This is a simple, quick and a reasonably inexpensive process. It is called a ‘2+2’ ceremony or ‘Early Bird’ ceremony. You must give notice to your District Registrar and book an appointment for the civil ceremony to take place at your local Registry Office.
Where do we start with booking a celebrant?
Have an initial chat with us, it’s free and there is no obligation and it’s never too early, we’ll send you further information about our ceremonies and what we offer. We start taking bookings anywhere from 18 months to just few weeks before a wedding for those last-minute couples! Anything goes.
Other Ceremonies - Vow Renewals, Naming Ceremonies and Funeral Services
We carry out all of the above ceremonies, it can be daunting arranging any type of service, however, we are here to give you advice and hold your hand, please do not hesitate to call or email us.
Do you offer same sex ceremonies? Most definitely!
Our bespoke service is open and offered to everyone, please get in touch!
Can I choose my own celebrant for a funeral?
You can choose your own funeral celebrant just let the funeral director know you have someone in mind already and ask them to contact us directly if that is easier for you.
We hope the above helps!
If we haven’t answered what you’d like to know here, please just pop us a message or give us a call – we love a chat; whatever stage you are at!
